Incredible weekend with 35 Russian-speaking Jewish families from the greater Boston area! From Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, the Mishpucha program provided an opportunity for parents and kids ages 3 - 16 to meet, laugh, learn, experience, experiment, and play. 

Boston Mishpucha Camping 2017 was generously sponsored by the Natan Fund and Genesis Philanthropy Group.

Accommodations & Pricing

Taking place at Camp Avoda, a lovely Jewish boys summer camp on a lake. Six meals are included (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch) and will be kosher-style, not certified Kosher. There are three types of accommodations:
  • Tent Camping - In this case a camp site is a space for your tent on the grounds of the camp. (You must bring your own tent and camping supplies) There is no electricity or water at the sites, nor is there space for a table or grill. Shower house and bathrooms are conveniently located nearby, as are the activity spaces. (25 sites available. $95/adult, $75/child, Kids 0-2 Free)
  • Bunkhouse -  A bunkhouse (generally 1 per family unless otherwise requested) is equipped with 12 stackable twin beds and mattresses, clothing drawers, lights, and electrical outlets. There are 2 bathrooms (toilets and sinks) attached to each bunkhouse. You must bring your own bedding and towels. The Shower House is a separate building. (13 available. $150/adult, $95/child, Kids 0-2 Free)
  • House - Rooms feature queen size beds for adults and unlimited camp mattresses for kids. Private or Semi-Private Full Bath inside the house. Houses are set apart from the main activity spaces, near the camp's main entrance. Parking is available next to the units. (3 available. $250/adult, $120/child, Kids 0-2 Free)

Program of Activities

The program featured hands-on activities for kids (divided by age group), workshops for adults, as well as fun games and experiences for the whole family.
